Wedding Story Session

Before The Vows primarily specializes in engagement photography, capturing the excitement, connection, and story that begins before you say, “I do.” However, for couples who connect with our photography style and would like us to continue capturing their story on their wedding day, we offer one simple and complete Wedding Photography Package. Wedding photography is available for select dates throughout the year and is offered on a limited basis. This allows us to remain focused on the work we love while also providing couples who appreciate our style with the opportunity to have Before The Vows capture one of the most important days of their lives.

Every engagement session includes personalized location guidance, outfit consultation, and a private online gallery. Travel outside the Brampton, Mississauga, and Toronto core area may include an additional travel fee — ask us for a quote when you book.

How far in advance should we book?
We recommend booking 4-8 weeks ahead, especially for spring and fall weekends, which fill up quickly across Brampton, Mississauga, and Toronto.
Do you travel outside the GTA?
Yes. A travel fee may apply outside the immediate Brampton, Mississauga, and Toronto area. Reach out and we'll confirm a quote before you book.
How long until we receive our photos?
Full galleries are typically delivered within 2-3 weeks of your session, with a handful of sneak-peek images shared within 48 hours.
What's included in an engagement session?
Every session includes personalized location guidance, an outfit consultation, professional editing, and a private online gallery to view and download your photos. Do you offer wedding photography?
We primarily specialize in engagement photography, but for couples who love our style and want us to continue their story on the wedding day, we offer one Wedding Photography Package. It's available for select dates throughout the year and offered on a limited basis, so it's worth reaching out early to check availability.
What happens if it rains on the day of our session?
A little overcast or light rain often works in your favour — soft, even light without harsh shadows. For genuinely unsafe or heavy conditions, we'll talk through your options together, whether that's adjusting the time, choosing a more sheltered spot, or rescheduling. You're never left guessing the week of your session.
Can we choose more than one location for our session?
Some packages include multiple locations, others are single-location. Check your package on the Pricing page for what's included, and if your two ideal spots are close together, adding a second is a great way to add variety without losing much time to travel.
What should we wear for our session?
Coordinate rather than match — pick a shared colour palette and let each person's outfit vary within it. Solid colours photograph better than busy patterns, and it's worth thinking about your outfits a few weeks ahead rather than the night before. If you want a second opinion, send us a message before your session and we're glad to help.
Can we bring our dog or another pet?
Yes, happily. We usually recommend planning 15-20 minutes with your pet included near the start of the session, then continuing the rest without them, so your dog doesn't get worn out halfway through. Let us know in advance so we can plan the location and timing around it.
How long does a typical session take?
This depends on your package — shorter sessions cover one location with a handful of setups, longer sessions allow time for multiple locations and an outfit change. Your Pricing page shows exactly how much time comes with each package.
Do we get full rights to use and print our photos?
Yes. Every package includes full usage rights, so you're free to print, share, and post your photos however and as often as you'd like — save-the-dates, your wedding website, social media, or framed prints for family.
Can we use our engagement photos for save-the-dates?
Absolutely, it's one of the most common uses. If you know you'll want save-the-date photos, let us know in advance so we can capture some portrait-orientation shots with room for text, alongside the wider shots that work well for prints and websites.
We're camera shy and not sure how to pose — is that a problem?
Not at all — that's genuinely most couples at the start of a session. Posing and finding good light is our job, not yours. We usually start with easier, movement-based prompts to help you both relax, and by the middle of the session most couples have forgotten the camera is even there.
Do you photograph all couples, including LGBTQ+ couples?
Yes, every relationship deserves to be photographed with the same care and authenticity. We don't work from a rigid, one-size-fits-all pose list — the goal is always to capture what's real about your specific relationship.
What if we need to reschedule or cancel?
Please do not wait until last minute or day before. We ask for at lease 3-7 days in advance for rescheduling or cancellations.
Is a deposit required to book?
Yes, the deposit is to secure the date and time in which you have chosen. We typically ask for 50% deposit on the date of signing the contract.
